Right at this moment it is Carnival Monday in Trinidad – I imagine lots of people are enjoying the holiday, playing mas or at the beach making a ‘cook’ (Trinidad slang for cook-out) whilst I’m stuck here in my office in the UK.
Now, whilst that might be enough to be jealous of … I completely jealous about something else. Also, at this moment … my brother and his girlfriend and my sister and her boyfriend are all visiting my parents in Guyana for the long weekend. Today is also Masharami (Guyana’s carnival).
Now, I’m the only one not there to make the family complete. Hmmphhh. The only reason that pops out immediately as to why I’m not there is obviously because I’m not paired up with somebody 
!
Awwwwwwww…it’s not because u aren’t paired up with somebody! It’s because u are in the UK and very far. Plus, wasn’t it you who urged me to go to Gy…to calm the pops for the news to come. I just couldn’t go without Barry, i couldn’t let him spend carnival weekend alone! Don’t worry, mum and papa are planning a special trip for u to Gy when u come for Easter as they understand the green eyed monster that resides in you:P
Good thing we didn’t go to suriname…we reached coroverton and was contemplating backtrack, but the water was rough and the people saw the DPL plates and called a high price! LOL…u would’ve turned mauve:P
Fell better chick…we are all home now, back to work…going hospital, washing wares…and lots of cleaning for saturday…
If it’s any consolation….we all really missed you while in guyana…cause we were singing one night (we – papa, me and ritch) and couldn’t remember tunes and words for some old songs….

Oh cool – won’t mind going to Guyana for Easter – but we shall see – haven’t been to Guyana since August.
